Imagine a career at Cisco

Grow your experience and love where you work

“Post-pandemic, it’s more important than ever to invest in returnship programs that help bridge the gender divide in companies. A growing body of research shows that diversity contributes significantly to a company’s success. Supporting programs like Women Back to Work helps normalize women returning to work, no matter how long or short their career gap. We are proud to partner with Akraya on this and encourage other companies to do the same.”

Grace Francisco, VP Developer Relations Strategy and Experience, Cisco Systems, Inc.

Cisco’s 2019 Inaugural Return-to-Work Program

In 2019, Women Back to Work partnered with Cisco to launch their very first return-to-work program. It was successful beyond anyone’s wildest dreams. The interest, talent, and overall success of the program had the WBW and Cisco teams immediately planning for version 2.0. And while the pandemic pushed the launch date back, it was never going to stop to tremendous momentum that was gained in 2019. Below are some of the highlights from that very first program.

“At Cisco, we are excited to continue our partnership with Akraya’s Women Back to Work initiative to further our mission in Engineering to bring women back to work and forge an inclusive culture where women and their careers thrive and their achievements are celebrated!”

Sonali Natarajan, Sr. Director, Business and Engineering Operations, Cisco Systems, Inc.

Women of Cisco

“It is my absolute privilege to serve as the global executive sponsor for Connected Women. One of my idols, Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, once said, ‘There is a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.’ And while I love her, I actually prefer to say, ‘There’s a special place in heaven for women who do help other women.’ That last piece is at the heart of Connected Women. We listen, we learn, we support, we celebrate, and we help.”

Gerri Elliott, EVP and Chief of Sales, Cisco Systems, Inc.
